Motorcycle Touring Styles- The variety of styles that touring motorcycle and scooter riders adopt is widely diverse. This is a sport uniquely suited for folks who believe in the adage “to each his own.” Every rider is entitled to his or her personal riding preferences and tastes.

The style of riding/touring you plan to do depends on you. Your riding abilities, riding habits and routines, finances, time constraints, family considerations, physical stamina, and adventurous spirit all play a part in your decisions to tour.

Your style is what makes you comfortable and gives you the most pleasure.

• Do you prefer to ride by yourself?

• Ride with a group?

• Participate in an organized tour?

• Do Iron Butt long-distance endurance riding on freeways and expressways?

• Just spend slow speed leisurely day roaming the back roads?

• Riding to every Major League Baseball Park in one season?

Solo Motorcycle Riding - Solo motorcycle or scooter riding is preferred by many people. There are a number of reasons for this like safety, not wanting to be concerned with others, desire to go at your own speed and stop when you want, or they may just be shy!

Whatever the motivation, riding a bike by yourself has significant benefits.

Group Riding - Solo riding issues aside, many folks prefer to, and get pleasure from riding in a group or riding two-up. You see them on the roads every weekend as they are out enjoying themselves.

Two Up Riding - The preferred mode of travel for many couples is to do it two-up on the same bike. There are many advantages to this type of togetherness, but there are some issues that should be worked out first!
